Warning: electrical testing should be conducted by trained individuals only.
Testing Relay: Take a photo of the wiring before removing all female connections.
Coil - male spades 0 and 1 should reflect a 3.6 ohm resistance. With coil energized, normally open male spade contacts #2 and #4 along with #6 and #8 will connect and complete circuits.
If the relay is bad, any of the following may occur:
- Open leg on coil.
- Continuity may exist between spades 2 and 4 and/or 6 and 8 without coil being energized.
